Rachel L. Culver

Rachel’s practice focuses on complex family law matters, including dissolution/divorce, high-conflict parenting disputes, property disputes, parenting plan modifications, legal separation, parentage, relocation and child support matters. Relationships are not simple, and every client’s situation is nuanced and unique. Her experience with domestic violence and fractured relationships support her ability to guide clients through the legal system with empathy and zealous advocacy.

As a trial attorney, Rachel takes high-conflict parenting and parenting plan matters on a case-by-case basis, with careful attention to the needs of the family, the litigation posture, and the best interests of the children involved as these cases involve complex parenting dynamics, and disputes where children frequently become collateral damage in adult conflict.

In addition to representing clients in active litigation, Rachel provides strategic parent coaching for parents who are not currently involved in court proceedings but are seeking guidance on how to support their children, reduce conflict, and navigate difficult co-parenting or family transitions.

Rachel has significant experience representing business owners, professional practitioners, and high net worth individuals in matters involving private equity, complex financial arrangements, hidden assets, and property tracing, characterization, and division. That experience equips her to be an effective and strategic advocate, helping clients navigate conflict in a manner designed to achieve positive outcomes within the legal framework provided under Washington law.

Additionally, for over a decade, Rachel has assisted clients navigating the complexities of family formation and assisted reproductive technology matters, including donor agreements, surrogacy agreements, embryo donation, adoption, parentage matters, and related legal issues. She has worked with numerous clinics and agencies nationwide and internationally.

Rachel received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University and graduated with honors from Seattle University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts of Washington. Rachel is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, American Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, LGBTQ+ Bar Association, and the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys. She has volunteered with the King County Bar Association Family Law Neighborhood Legal Clinic for over 10 years and has been recognized by Seattle Met and Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Washington family law.
